I am a Broadcast Engineer, with primary talent in distribution, transmission and RF, but I also work as a Project Manager and in various other outside broadcasting related roles, including video Engineer, MCR supervisor.

My working life started in Television back in the 80's, starting off as a TV and radio repair man. After completing an 8 year apprenticeship I went on to further my knowledge in satellite TV. In the 90's in Africa satellite TV meant having a 3.5m to 4.5m dish in your garden. I spent time learning the trade and building my own 4m satellite dish from scratch in my garden. I have a never ever ending thirst for knowledge and went on to learn about the transmitting side of the satellite industry joining Newsforce (later to be known as Globecast) in the mid 90's. After working in the Africa office for a few years I was then transferred over to the Newsforce/Globecast UK office, where within 3 years was made UK SNG Technical Manager. I remained with Globecast until 2017 when I formed Ampersand Broadcasting. Over the decades, I have worked in many different outlets of Outside Broadcasting and am very capable of dealing with any aspect of production and broadcasting.
